This Privacy Policy explains how Gather-up collects, uses, stores, and deletes personal data when you use the platform.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the information required to operate the service, including your email address, display name, authentication provider details, profile photo when supplied by a sign-in provider, and account timestamps.

If you create or manage events, we also store event content, dates, descriptions, tags, contact details, and location information that you submit.

2. How We Use Data

We use personal data to authenticate users, maintain accounts, display organiser and attendee information inside the app, support RSVPs, and protect the platform from misuse.

With your consent, we may also use cookies or similar technologies for analytics and advertising features.

3. Legal Basis

We process account and event data to provide the service you request. Where advertising or non-essential tracking is enabled, processing is based on your consent.

4. Sharing and Storage

Gather-up uses Firebase services for authentication and database storage. Public event information you publish may be visible to other users and visitors of the site.

We do not sell personal data. Third-party providers only receive the information required to operate their part of the service.

5. Retention and Deletion

Account data is retained while your account remains active. You can delete your account from your profile page, which removes your stored profile document and attempts to remove your authentication account.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent for optional cookies or ads.
